Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)
Full-Time | Secondary School | £95-£105 daily rate
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Contract: Full Time | Fixed Term (June 2025 – July 2026) term time only.

Join a welcoming and forward-thinking Additional Needs Hub in a lovely secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. You’ll work with pupils aged 12–16 who have special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, and social-emotional needs. These students flourish in non-mainstream settings, and we're looking for someone who can empower them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and adapt creative, engaging lessons across all subject areas.
- Support students with autism, ADHD, and social-emotional mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Build positive, trusted relationships and be a role model for students.
- Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and pastoral staff.
- Promote a calm, inclusive, trauma-informed environment for learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong academic background (GCSEs in English and Maths required).
- Graduate-calibre applicants, aspiring teachers, youth workers, or teaching assistants welcome.
- Compassionate, patient, and confident with behaviour support.
- Experience or interest in special education, alternative provision, or youth work.
- No teaching qualification required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
