ABA Tutors (Autism)

ABA Tutor to support primary children with Autism.
Hours : 8.30am – 16.30pm Monday – Friday
Location: Berkshire
Star date: January 2021
ABA Tutors will be required to provide ABA teaching to pupils with Autism and associated needs (speech and language, social and emotional needs).
You will work under an ABA Supervisor who will support you to be responsible for collecting data, resourcing and behaviour management. Each child will have an intervention plan in place specific to their needs. You will work one to one with these pupils, delivering interventions and monitoring progress in key areas of development. You will also attend meetings with the pupils parents/guardians to help them to implement the plans at home. This will allow for consistency between the provision and home.
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 6 months experience working as an ABA Tutor with Autism
- Proven track record of supporting ABA intervention
- Understand the principles of ABA
- Able to demonstrate commitment to safeguarding
- Comfortable working with Primary age pupils with Autism
- Strong awareness and understanding of the different need associated with Autism
- Able to communicate well with students with speech and language difficulties (PEC’s/Makaon)
- Be able to demonstrate patience and remain calm under challenges situations
- Good communicator with staff (verbal/written)
- Willingness to take on additional ABA training
- Physical and emotional resilience
Education:
- GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) (Essential)
- Degree level in the following fields : Psychology, Education, Childcare, Teaching (Desired)
