2 x Outdoor education instructors

Teaching Personnel are working with several specialist units that caters for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties with immediate work opportunities for teaching assistants in Plymouth.

I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners with their educational experience. Majority of their timetable is based around different sports and outdoor activities as they struggle to access mainstream education.

If you have experience as a sports coach, sporting instructor, teaching assistant or other sports based role supporting children then we are interested in speaking to you.

The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.

You must be able to drive with access to your own vehicle.

A DBS is required for these roles and it needs to be in Childwork force only. We ask that your DBS is on the update service. If you do have a current DBS on the Update Service then we can support you to apply for a new one.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
