Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Rochdale (OL12) that are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and inclusive primary school team in the 2025/6 Autumn Term. This role involves supporting a pupil with special educational needs to access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 setting

  • Be patient, nurturing and adaptable to individual learning needs

  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents

  • Be committed to supporting the child’s learning, development and well-being

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
