10x SEN Teaching assistant needed in Cranleigh ASAP

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in Cranleigh.

The school is described as “happy, purposeful and calm” and has a good reputation, with high standards of care and education. They are looking for 10x teaching assistants to who has the same standards and beliefs to join their welcoming and friendly team.

The school caters for students aged 5-19 with Moderate/Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated problems such as Speech & Language and other emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Some of the pupils needs have changed to higher staff to pupil ratios hence the high demand for teaching assistants.

The ideal candidates will be confident, reliable and enthusiastic with a passion for supporting students during their educational journey. Excellent communication skills are needed. The role is challenging, varied and very rewarding.

The role as Teaching Assistant:

  • To support class groups or individual students through their educational progress
  • Supporting the children in their learning, social activities and on outings
  • Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence
  • Supporting students through work experience
  • Providing feedback and assistance to teachers
  • This is a full term time role to start ASAP.
