SEN Tutors Needed – Support Students Across Poole

Are you enthusiastic about helping young people with additional learning needs succeed? TP Tutors is recruiting SEN Tutors in Poole and nearby areas to provide personalised education support that helps learners regain confidence and thrive academically and emotionally.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Poole and surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time and part-time flexible opportunities

The Opportunity

TP Tutors is seeking dedicated and supportive individuals to deliver bespoke one-to-one tuition for students who benefit from alternative educational support. Many learners may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH challenges, anxiety, or additional barriers affecting their education.

You’ll play a vital role in helping students re-engage with learning by tailoring sessions to their unique strengths, needs, and goals.

Main Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging personalised tuition sessions
  • Modify teaching methods to suit individual learners
  • Foster confidence, motivation, and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage independent learning and positive routines
  • Work alongside families and external professionals when required
  • Assess progress and adapt learning plans effectively
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience with children or young people is advantageous
  • Suitable experience may include teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth support, care, or coaching
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathetic, patient, and flexible attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and reliability
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Ability to travel around Poole and nearby locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
