Are you a passionate educator looking to make a significant impact on the academic journey of students? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated 1-1 Tutor to join our team and provide invaluable support to Year 10 and 11 students in the vibrant city of Bournemouth. The Role: As a 1-1 Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting Year 10 and 11 students in their academic journey. Your focus will be on enhancing their understanding and performance in either Maths, Science, or English, depending on your area of expertise. Through personalized instruction, you will create engaging lesson plans, tailored to the individual needs of each student. You will guide them through challenging concepts, provide constructive feedback, and help build their confidence and motivation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to Year 10 and 11 students.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Identify learning obstacles and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status or relevant tutoring experience.
  • A degree in Maths, Science, English, or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in either Maths, Science, or English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Patience, adaptability, and empathy towards diverse learning styles.
  • Organizational skills to plan and manage tutoring sessions effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
