Job description

Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Full-Time)
Location: Shepton Mallet

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming school in Shepton Mallet who are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil both in and out of the classroom.

This is a full-time role (5 days per week), starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to a KS2 pupil.

  • Assist with learning activities in and outside the classroom.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.

  • Work alongside the class teacher and wider school team to create a supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Enthusiastic, proactive and able to use their initiative.

  • Forward-thinking with a genuine passion for supporting children.

  • Experience in an educational setting and/or with challenging behaviour is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
