1:1 Teaching Assistant

Here at Teaching Perosnnel we are looking for Teaching Assistants who are looking to work on a 1:1 basis supporting children and young people with additional needs. The ideal candidate would have experience of working in education whether in or out of mainstream education.

These roles are supporting children on a 1:1 basis acting as a role model and supporting their Social, Emotional, Mental Health and wellbeing as well as engaging with their educational experience. The children in the setting have been removed from mainstream education and needs someone who committed to the role to support the children on a long term basis. The roles are full time 8:30-3:30.

The children have timetables suited to their needs and abilities which included outdoor education, going off and doing different learning based activities. This means that the role requires you to drive with access to your own vehicle.

The roles are to start as soon as possible so if you have a DBS in child workforce only and it is on the Update Service then we can process your documents faster. However if you do not have a DBS then we can support you through the process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
