SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Full-Time (Term-Time Only)
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are a welcoming and inclusive school looking for an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You’ll support pupils with a range of needs including autism and speech & language difficulties.

About the school

This school in the heart of Croydon are looking to add a dynamic and skilled 1;1 Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children of various SEN Needs. The school has clear goals for fostering and developing children's needs throughout the school.

Requirements:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN in the classroom and one-to-one
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting learning under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Assisting with personal care (if applicable)
  • Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress
  • Managing behaviour sensitively and effectively

Desirable:

  • SEN TA qualification or relevant training (e.g., Makaton, PECS)

Contract: Full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Mon-Fri, term time only)
Salary: £90-£110 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
