Teaching Personnel are working with a good school in the OL2 area that are seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a mainstream classroom in the 2025 Autumn Term. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure the child receives personalised, consistent support that enables them to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support tailored to the needs of the pupil
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCP targets and behaviour plans
  • Adapt learning resources and activities to ensure accessibility and engagement
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and reports

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, etc.)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or SEND qualification) is desirable
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
