Job Description: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering
Rate of Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate teaching assistant to work 1:1 with students with special education needs in schools across Northamptonshire. This is a full time role and offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and to develop your own personal skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 group support for children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD and other additional needs
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Use effective communication techniques to build supportive relationships with students
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to deliver consisten support
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress
Requirements
- Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD and non-verbal communication needs
- A caring, patient and resilient approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for travel between schools)
- Happy to apply for a Child Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Provide two references
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
