1-1 Learning Support Assistant
Full time
Temporary position (potential to become permanent for the right educator)
Primary school based in Aldershot
£13.75 an hour
Start date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary School based in Farnborough to work on a full time, temporary basis with the view to go permanent for the right individual. You will be supporting a Year 5 student with additional needs so experience in SEN is essential for this role.
Requirements:
- An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
- Contact references covering the last 24 months and any schools worked at in the last 10 years.
- An up-to-date CV outlining career history.
- Proof of ID and two proofs of address.
The successful candidate will have:
- Recent successful experience as an LSA within a primary setting or working with SEN children.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above.
- A clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to feedback and respond effectively to pupil learning.
- Excellent positive behaviour management skills.
- A positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the role and the needs of the school.
- The skills to work independently and with initiative.
- The ability to plan and evaluate pupils' progress.
- Acute self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
