1:1 and classroom Teaching Assistant

Learning Support Assistant - Waterlooville

Teaching Personnel are searching for inspiring and engaging Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils to aid their learning within the classroom. You will encourage independent work and provide support where necessary to aid pupils to reach their very best. This role will require patience and understanding to be successful with a genuine desire and intention to work within education.

In this role, you will work under the SENCo to work in classrooms that have students requiring additional support. You will report to the SENCo providing feedback of pupil's progress and provide ideas and offer suggestions to further aid their learning. You may be required to work on a 1:1 basis with select pupils, or take small groups to provide intervention to improve understanding or gain greater depth. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous - although not necessary. It is more important to the school that you are passionate about education and the level of maturity and care you can bring to the role.

Applicants ideally will fulfil the following criteria:

• The desire to work with secondary schools, or pursue a career in education
• A-C grades at GCSE as a minimum
• Ideally, you will have completed learning in further education, within a college or University level
• Previous work history which includes working with children

Training will be provided including a full induction, and then further opportunities to develop your career through continued CPD training within the school, and from Teaching Personnel.
