Youth Workers required for a SEN residential school in Lymington!

Do you have youth work experience? Do you want to positively influence the lives of young people?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEN school that caters for young people with special needs in Lymington. The school is seeking to recruit youth workers to help support the children. The school believe youth workers have the engaging personality to help support these young people. In this role the youth worker will be expected to work both in school and around the local community to provide personalised support for the young people.

It is essential you have experience supporting young people or adults who present challenging behaviour, whether that be through social needs, a mental health condition or medical needs.

The ideal youth worker for this role will have a background in youth work and will therefore have the knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviour in a way which still produces positive outcomes. Having a relevant qualification such as a youth and community work degree will also enhance your application.

Work type will include working full time, up to 40 hours a week with some weekend work. There is the opportunity for permanent employment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
