Are you looking to work in secondary schools and have experience as a youth worker?
Teaching Personnel are looking for experienced youth workers or sports coaches who are considering a career in teaching or education to work as learning mentors, behaviour mentors and cover supervisors in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester. We have Youth Worker positions starting immediately, after Easter and for September.
The role of a youth worker can be varied depending on the schools requirements, providing various opportunities throughout. Cover supervisors take over the teacher's timetable for the day delivering set work, ensuring students remain on task and complete set work.
Learning mentors and behaviour mentors work with students who have been identified as requiring additional support in the areas if social emotional mental health, autism, behaviour, dyslexia and ADHD. Youth workers looking to apply for this position will need to have education or school based references, ideally previous experience of working with young people and a desire to get into the education sector.
Teaching Personnel support schools in Manchester, Tameside, Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East. We also provide regular training and development courses to increase your skill set, CV and employment credentials.
