The successful Youth Worker will support students in class across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. Due to some of the students displaying challenging behaviour, the role will also involve working closely with pupils who have been withdrawn from lessons.
The Warrington school caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) as well as other difficulties including ADHD and Autism. This specialist provisions is looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy a challenge.
Having experience in supporting children who display challenging behaviour or have a variety of SEN is not essential but beneficial to fully flourish within this role. However, experience of a Sporting background in coaching or teaching would be desired but not essential.
