Youth workers and sports coaches needed to support students at secondary schools in the areas of Tameside, Stockport and Manchester. Teaching Personnel are looking for people who have experience working with young people and the ability to engage students who are at risk of exclusion that require role models.

We currently support secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester with their support staff and special educational needs teams, providing opportunities to work with their students on a 1 to 1 and small group basis. We currently have behaviour and learning mentor positions that are part time, full time, temporary and permanent.

The role of a learning mentor is incredibly rewarding as you will be working directly with students that require your support and you will see their development enhancing their learning experience throughout school. You will need to demonstrate a flexible working attitude to attend to the needs of each individual student, have empathy and compassion for students that need support in the areas of behaviour, social emotional mental health, autism and ADHD.

If you are currently working in the fields of sport coaching, youth work, health and social care then you will have the transferable skills required to fulfil this role.

**Opportunity to earn a permanent school based contract

To be eligible for the post of learning mentor you will need to have suitable references, ideally some form of experience working with young people and be eligible to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
