Youth and community Graduate Guildford

  • Youth and community studies graduate required for outreach position at Guildford PRU

  • Are you looking for a challenging role which involves managing challenging behaviours on a daily basis?

One of our partner clients is a pupil referral unit based in Guildford and they are seeking to employ a graduate with a degree associated with Youth and community work. The Guildford PRU caters for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education as a result of not being able to cope in mainstream education. The overall goal of the Guildford PRU is to manage and address the difficulties which led to the previous exclusion of the young person in an effort to transition them back into mainstream school.

The role of the Youth and community studies Graduate at this Guildford PRU will be to work as an outreach teaching assistant. This role will allow the Youth and community studies Graduate to build positive relationships with young people. They will also be responsible for handling difficult scenarios in a way which enables the young people to progress and remain engaged in the respective lesson.

The ideal Teaching assistant for this Guildford PRU will have a degree relating to Youth and community work. Having a background of putting your degree into practice is also essential for this Guildford unit. You must also have a confident personality and will not be fazed by behaviour’s which could be described as ‘challenging’.

The pay rate for this role will be £8.41-£11 per hour dependent upon experience.
