Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary SEN school based in the Burgess Hill area. The school are currently in need of enthusiastic individuals who are able to support their pupils on both a 1:1 and small group basis. You will be expected to support the pupils in class, in-between class and during breaks.

About the school:

The school cater for secondary aged pupils who may have come from mainstream education but due to their specific needs and behaviour they now require additional support within an Alternative Provision. The school have specialist staff who’re able to support the pupils academically and socially, they’re requiring additional support for the new academic year!

About the role:

You will be expected to build relationships with the pupils as well as being a reliable strong role model for them. The pupils will naturally look up to you, it’s your job to support them with their needs and with their behaviours throughout the school day. You will be working with pupils who may have previously been expelled from previous provisions, you must be caring but thick skinned as the environment you will be working in will be challenging at times.

Additional Information:

Travel: Car/Bus

Pay: £385-£400 per week

Contract: Temp to Perm

Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm

DBS: Child Only Enhanced DBS

Year: Secondary

Experience: Support Worker/Challenging Behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
