Job description

Teaching Personnel is working with alternative provisions and specialist intervention settings in Burgess Hill that support pupils who have become disengaged from mainstream education.

These settings often provide smaller class sizes, therapeutic support and a more personalised curriculum.

The role may involve

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Assisting with vocational and practical learning
  • Encouraging attendance and re-engagement
  • Managing transitions between activities and settings
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and functional skills
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
