Youth Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Central Bristol

Do you want to take on a new and exciting challenge? Do you have what it takes to support Bristol’s most vulnerable teenagers?

Teaching Personnel have partnered with a school in East Bristol who focus on making a real difference to the lives of teenagers, aged 14 – 16 who are unable to access mainstream education. In this challenging yet very rewarding job, this is an opportunity to work with inner city teens who have experiences high levels of trauma and neglect throughout their childhood resulting in challenging behaviours.

You do not need any qualifications for this role, but we are looking for people who are resilient, committed and will stay level-headed in extremely difficult situations. We need someone who is willing to make strong relationships with each student to allow them to build trust with adults and to promote a sense of love throughout the school. You will support both students and teachers in very small class sizes to ensure the engagement in learning, using facilities such as a hair and beauty salon.

Key information;

  • Leading pay rates of £77 per day, £11.85 per hour.
  • Permanent offer will become available after a successful temporary period.
  • Full time offer, Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30
  • Starting September 2023 or sooner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
