Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children & young people?

Do you have experience supporting pupils that can find it difficult to build social & emotional relationships?

With some pupils having spent some time outside of the classroom over the last few years, there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by this turbulence. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 basis for the rest of the academic year in a range of schools across Bristol (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with doing activities with the pupil/s outside of the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the pupil.

This will be on a full time basis and full support & guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training, including Team Teach.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has experience of supporting pupils in school or a residential setting but we will also be considering people without this experience

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
