Sport Graduate Position York

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an alternative school based in the South of York who is looking to recruit a Sport Graduate to start in September for the new academic year.

About the role:

The position is based in an alternative school who specialise in providing education to individuals who have left main mainstream education and have SEMH, Autism or Behavioural difficulties. The schools aim is to promote a safe and secure learning environment so that every student has the educational opportunity they deserve.

The role will involve working with challenging individuals in order to gain a greater understanding of the individuals needs so that you can reengage their learning and development. You will support the students in small groups or in 1:1 interventions and the ideal candidate will need to show a caring and empathic nature towards students of all ages and abilities.

The ideal candidate:

• Sports graduate or Teaching Assistant Experience
• SEMH and Autism experience desirable
• Excellent behavioural management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Available for September 2019 start
