Are you a skilled Year 6 teacher with a strong commitment to inclusive education and high academic expectations? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a supportive and community-focused primary school in the WN4 area of Wigan to appoint an experienced Year 6 Teacher with a background in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a class at a pivotal stage in their primary education, helping to prepare them for secondary school while nurturing their emotional, academic, and social development.
About the Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Support pupils with additional needs through adaptive teaching and effective scaffolding.
• Use formative assessment to identify gaps and personalise learning pathways.
• Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and families to ensure targeted support.
• Promote confidence, independence, and readiness for Key Stage 3.
Ideal Candidate:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has recent experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Has a strong understanding of SATs preparation and curriculum expectations.
• Demonstrates proven ability to support children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
• Is an excellent communicator and team player, with strong behaviour management skills.
