Year 6 Teacher – Warrington (WA5)
Start Date: After October half-term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Pay-To-Scale (dependent on experience and qualifications)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Warrington (WA5) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their supportive team after October half-term. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teacher who is passionate about preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school and helping every child reach their full potential.
Role Overview:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge Year 6 pupils.
- Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on SATs preparation.
- Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and tailor teaching to pupils’ needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil outcomes.
- Promote the school’s values and contribute to wider school life and enrichment opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and end-of-key-stage assessments.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A positive, reflective approach and commitment to professional development.
