Year 6 Teacher – A Lancaster Primary School
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (PAYE)
Pay Rate: £120 - £155 per day (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced and passionate Year 6 Teacher looking for a new opportunity this September? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancaster, seeking a dedicated educator to join their team and lead a Year 6 class through a crucial academic year.
About the Role:
This full-time position involves delivering high-quality teaching to Year 6 pupils, with a strong focus on SATs preparation and transition to secondary school. You’ll be responsible for planning engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and creating a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering the Year 6 curriculum with a focus on core subjects and SATs readiness
- Creating inclusive lesson plans tailored to a range of abilities
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively
- Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support pupil development
- Contributing to the wider school community and ethos
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management
- Be confident in preparing pupils for SATs and secondary transition
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
