Year 5 General Classroom Assistant

A large two form entry Primary School in Blackburn are on the look out for a Year 5 General Classroom Assistant who can help the Teacher and work closely with pupil from September 2023.

This positions working hours are 08:45 -15:15. The rate of pay for this position is £11.85 - £12.50

The Head Teacher of the school is keen to welcome a passionate and driven Teaching Assistant who has strong behaviour management and a good knowledge of the Primary curriculum. Due to the school’s catchment area, the support staff member must be able to inspire and motive pupils, whilst upholding the school’s safeguarding policy.

General duties of this role will be help with general classroom Teaching, handing out materials and working closely with children to ensure they stay on task. Additionally, in the afternoons you will be expected to take small group interventions in Maths and English.

To be successful in this position you should:

Have strong behaviour management

Have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum

Be confident safeguarding children

Be motivated and have a true passion for Primary education

Be level 2 qualified (NVQ/CACHE/other relevant qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
