Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with the potential to become permanent)
Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Golborne, Warrington, who are looking to appoint a Year 5 Class Teacher, starting in September 2025.
This role is ideal for a confident upper Key Stage 2 practitioner who enjoys supporting and encouraging pupils to reach their full potential in the run-up to SATs preparation in Year 6. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of staff who work collaboratively to provide a rich and engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of every learner.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering well-structured and engaging lessons aligned with the Year 5 national curriculum.
- Supporting children’s academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.
- Differentiating learning to cater to a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
- Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A fully qualified teacher with QTS (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply).
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Recent or relevant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6.
- Confident in behaviour management and creating a structured learning environment.
- Strong curriculum knowledge and an ability to adapt teaching to individual pupil needs.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to working with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs or delivering catch-up interventions.
- Knowledge of strategies to support children with SEMH, ASD, or speech and language needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
