Location: Bedfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (with potential to extend)
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: Monday 2nd September 2025
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and committed teacher ready to inspire and support the next generation of learners? A Bedford Primary School, nestled in the heart of rural Bedfordshire, is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from Monday 2nd September 2025.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to take on our Year 5 class. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and caring staff team, and teach a class of well-behaved, motivated pupils who love to learn.
You will:

Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum

Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Use effective assessment strategies to track and support pupil progress

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Year 5

High expectations for behaviour and achievement

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

A reflective, creative, and child-centred teaching approach
