A supportive primary school in Preston is looking to welcome a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled KS2 practitioner who enjoys challenging and motivating pupils as they prepare for upper Key Stage 2 expectations.


What the Role Involves

As the Year 5 class teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Develop pupils’ independence, confidence, and readiness for Year 6
  • Track progress and adapt teaching to meet different learning needs
  • Encourage positive learning behaviours and a growth mindset
  • Work closely with the KS2 team to deliver a cohesive learning experience

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • KS2 teaching experience — Year 5 experience is a bonus, not essential
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and effective behaviour management
  • QTS – ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach to classroom life
  • A commitment to high standards and pupil progress
