Year 5 Primary Teacher – Full Time (September 2026 Start)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join a large and supportive mainstream Primary School from September 2026, taking on full classroom responsibility within a Year 5 class for the full academic year.

The school benefits from a collaborative approach to planning, where responsibilities are shared across the year group, creating a supportive and well-structured teaching environment.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Contract: Full time, full academic year
  • Key Stage: Year 5 (KS2)

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (UK QTS)
  • Confidence teaching Key Stage 2 pupils
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching and learning

Suitable for:

  • Experienced teachers
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) – school have capacity to support ECT induction. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Full classroom teaching responsibility within a Year 5 class
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons (with shared planning across the team)
  • Supporting pupil progress and attainment
  • Contributing to the wider school community

Recruitment Process:

  • Closing Date: 25th May
  • Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to:
    • A school tour
    • A 30-minute lesson observation
    • A 30-minute interview with the Head Teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
