• Contract Type: Temporary with the potential for a school contract following a successful period of probation.

A ‘Good’ Primary School located in the BB11 area of Burnley is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team on an initially part time basis commencing late November/ early Decemeber.

Due to the current situation, children are experiencing a large period of absence from school. For some children, this has meant little to no structure, challenging living conditions and limited social interaction with family and friends. The successful candidate will therefore possess excellent behavioural and classroom management skills as well as providing a sense of enthusiasm to everyday learning and demonstrating the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with the students.

The headteacher, whom I have spoken to directly, is keen to support the pupils with their challenging transition back to school as much as possible. This will include working with children who require nurture support on a 1:1 basis to provide both emotional and educational support in topics such as numeracy, reading, and writing. The candidate will work as part of an experienced team alongside an approachable and supportive teacher and should themselves have experience in nurture/ booster role and be confident in dealing with any challenges that may present themselves in this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
