Year 4 Class Teacher

Start Date: September 2025
Location: Whelley, Wigan (WN2).
Pay Rate: Pay-To-Scale (dependent on experience).
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary - with potential to become a permanent member of staff.

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school located in Whelley, Wigan is looking to appoint a motivated and nurturing Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

Educator Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent teaching experience within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 4.
  • Secure knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
  • Passion for delivering inclusive and differentiated teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Key Stage 2.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning community.
  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and resilience.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively to ensure every child is reaching their potential.
