Year 3 Teacher opportunity in Wigan
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary with the potential for a permanent position
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Pay-To-Scale (Dependent on experience)

We are working closely with a primary school in the WN3 area of Wigan who are looking to appoint a skilled Year 3 Teacher from September 2025. This is a great opportunity to inspire and support pupils as they progress through lower Key Stage 2, helping them to build strong foundations in core subjects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach high-quality lessons that cover the lower Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Support pupils in making a smooth transition from Key Stage 1, promoting independence and confidence in their learning.
  • Assess progress regularly and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (experience with Year 3 desirable).
  • Secure understanding of the lower Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s progress.
