Year 3 Teacher – Strong Behaviour Management

Newton Aycliffe
Full-Time - Permanent / 1 year contract
Competitive Salary (MPS/UPS dependent on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Newton Aycliffe. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire pupils, maintain high expectations, and create a calm, purposeful learning environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and consistent classroom routines
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom organisation

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills and high expectations for all pupils
  • Is nurturing, resilient, and adaptable
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life

This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ambitious early career teacher with strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
