Teaching Personnel is the UK’s leading education recruitment agency. We are working closely with multiple schools across Plymouth that are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of positions.
All of these positions require people who have experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs. Ideally, your experience will be within the classroom, however, it might also be that you have transferable skills from working in a care or youth work capacity.
All of the students you will be working with will have educational health care plans but will be within a mainstream school. Many of these schools have specialist SEN provisions with specialist teachers to work alongside. This kind of role is extremely rewarding, and no 2 days are the same.
About you:
-You will be an extremely patient, empathetic practitioner who has a creative and engaging approach to supporting students with accessing the curriculum.
-You will have experience in working with vulnerable young people.
-You will be adaptable and keen to learn about schools’ approaches to supporting their students
-You will be able to form strong relationships with the students you work closely with.
What we require from you:
-All of our educators must have an enhanced childcare DBS on the update service. If you need to apply for one of these, we can process this for you.
-You must have relevant experience
-You must be based in Plymouth with UK school experience
-You must pass our compliance and interview process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
