Year 2 Teacher – Warrington (WA2)

Start Date: After October half-term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Pay-To-Scale (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Warrington (WA2) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their dedicated team after October half-term. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys helping pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy as they approach the end of Key Stage 1.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and promote progress.
  • Support pupils as they prepare for Key Stage 1 assessments, ensuring every child feels confident and motivated.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track progress and tailor teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, positive, and full of enthusiasm for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to create a strong support network for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting creativity and a love of learning.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is desirable).
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of early assessment practices.
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Brings creativity, organisation, and a nurturing approach to their teaching.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
