Teaching Personnel are currently supporting the recruitment of a Year 2 teacher on behalf of this Primary school which is located in Middleton.

  • Year 2 teacher required
  • Temporary post with an Easter start
  • Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Primary school

Due to a teacher going on long term sickness, this school is looking for a well-organised Year 2 teacher who has the same positive energy as the new leadership team and staff. They have created a nurturing atmosphere which helps pupils to learn and promotes their all-round development effectively.

There is a strong sense of teamwork throughout the staff and there are great opportunities for the teachers to develop their leadership skills through ‘Curriculum Teams’ where they can share ideas and expertise.

Your responsibilities:

  • To differentiate activities to meet the individual needs of children – both challenging and supporting.
  • To promote inclusion and assist with the identification and teaching of children with Special Education Needs
  • To liaise and plan teaching and learning with support staff in line with school policy.
  • Set a good learning example to the children through the preparation of lessons.
  • To be prepared to teach remotely and face-to-face
  • Teach the process of self-assessment to encourage pupils to think about their own learning.
  • Write reports on each child’s progress for parents, stating areas for future developments and shared targets
  • Be responsible for arrangements for preparing pupils for external examinations, assessing pupils for the purposes of such examinations and recording and reporting such assessments
  • Identify children causing particular concern and inform the SENCO or Headteacher
  • Be responsible for reinforcing school positive behaviour policy/code of conduct

Year 2 requirements;

  • Fully Qualified, experience of class teaching in Key Stage 1
  • Newly Qualified Teachers with Key Stage 1 experience
  • Dynamic and fast-paced teachers who enjoy CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
