Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Leigh (WN7) that is seeking a dedicated Year 2 class teacher to join their team from September 2025. About the Role:
As the Year 2 teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Foster a warm, supportive learning environment that promotes independence and curiosity.
- Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and plan next steps.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues across the phase.
- Support children’s transition into Key Stage 2 with a focus on foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service.
- Recent classroom experience in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
- Strong knowledge of phonics teaching.
- A caring, engaging approach with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and progress.
- Confident use of digital tools to support and enhance learning.
