Year 2 Teacher – Horsham, West Sussex
Teaching Personnel is currently partnering with a primary school in Horsham seeking a full-time Year 2 Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a cover position with the possibility of a permanent contract after the placement.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher who is passionate about nurturing a love of learning and providing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
About the role:
- Start date: January 2026
- Full-time position
- Paid to scale
In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, embodying the school's values. You'll create a welcoming classroom where pupils feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. Regular communication with parents regarding learning progress and behaviour is also key.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS/PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management
- Good knowledge of current teaching methods and curriculum expectations
- Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, and staff
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within the KS1 team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
