Highly experienced KS1 specialist teacher required for full time maternity cover starting in November. The school are looking for a teacher who is experienced in teaching Year 1 and who has strong Phonics knowledge and teaching skills, preferably 'Read, Write, Inc.'. The class is of average size and there are some pupils in the class with lower ability reading and writing skills, therefore strong differentiation skills are necessary, the school itself is Ofsted rated 'Good'. The role will run until July 2017 when it will be reviewed and potentially extended. All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS – Full assistance provided (AGY)
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education and Hexham Newcastle Diocese with additional local school partners. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Child Protection in Education, Prevent Duty, an accredited Holistic Approach to Behaviour Management, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Read Write Inc. and Safeguarding. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training. The CPD on offer will assist with your personal and career development, making you a highly sought after candidate.
