KS1 (Year 1) Teacher - Primary School (Selby)

  • Are you an exceptional teacher, with recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1?
  • Do you have a sound knowledge of Phonics Schemes such as Letters and Sounds?
  • Do you want to work in an improving Selby Primary School?

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £100-£160 per day

An improving Primary School in Selby require a KS1 Teacher who specialises in Year 1. This school continuously have a range of opportunities available for committed and motivated teachers. Due to an upcoming maternity cover in KS1, the school wish to appoint a full time class teacher within Year 1. The applying candidates must have QTS and recent experience in Key Stage 1 and a sound knowledge of teaching Phonics.

Although this is a supply position, the successful applicant will be expected to take on full class teaching responsibilities, as well as contributing to the wider school community by getting involved with after school clubs, parents evenings and staff meetings.

Over the past few years this thriving Primary School in Selby has consistently improved it's standards and is now a 'Good' School. The children tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so the entry level is lower than National Average particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing. With supportive senior leadership and a dedicated team of staff, children make good progress and behaviour improves as the children learn and develop within the safe learning environment which has been implemented.
