Year 1 Teacher – Full Time
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent or Fixed Term
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications (Main Pay Scale)
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Milton Keynes.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant Year 1 class, delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the National Curriculum for Year 1

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support tailored to individual needs

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
We are looking for someone who:

Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Is confident and knowledgeable about the Year 1 curriculum and early years foundation principles

Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching young learners

Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing

Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
