Year 1 Teacher – Primary School, Fareham

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term Time Only)
Location: Fareham
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Are you a passionate and inspiring teacher ready to make a positive impact on young learners? We are looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Fareham.

The Role:

You will lead a Year 1 class, delivering creative and engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning. You’ll work closely with our supportive staff team to ensure every child achieves their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching in line with the National Curriculum

  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 pupils, preferably Year 1

  • A passion for early years education and child development

  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
