Primary School in Accrington require a Year 1 Teacher (BB5)

Experience in KS1 is a necessity and a proven track required of pupil progress is required

Strong behaviour Management and Qualified Teacher Status is a necessity

Are you looking for a new Teaching role? Could you commit to an October to July temporary contract? Then look no further than this exciting Teaching role in Accrington!

The school

The school is currently graded as GOOD by Ofsted and falls outside the small town of Accrington. The school has a higher proportion of children on Free School Meals and has average numbers for Special Educational Needs. Due to its semi-rural location the school does take in children from varying social backgrounds; including children from affluent professional backgrounds and comparatively children from more challenging and socially deprived backgrounds. The school does have a number of mixed year groups and through this the children are put into class based on assessment and ability.

The Role

The Head teacher is currently looking for a Primary practitioner who has experience in KS1 and a proven track record of raising attainment; particularly in Maths and English (Reading and Writing). It may be that the school ask to see evidence of this at interview so please ensure this is documented and can be evidenced. The role will be to work on a temporary contract basis, five days a week, from October 2018 - July 2019 covering a maternity.

The Head teacher

The Head teacher is a forward thinking and committed personality who is keen to support the new teaching staff working for him and equally so, extend and stretch the knowledge of more experienced practitioners. The school has constantly stayed as a GOOD school by Ofsted and the levels of pupil attainment and achievement has always tracked in line with this.
