Job description

An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is the perfect role for both NQTs and experienced Year 2 teachers.

This Chesterfield based primary school is a well-regarded and popular school, which nurtures a caring and supportive environment. It is a two form entry school with classes from EYFS to Year 6.

The pupils are currently performing higher than the National Average in their academic and social development. They are motivated and challenged by staff to ‘aim high’. Pupils enjoy going to school and feel happy and valued. Parents feel that their children are privileged to be educated there.

The role is full-time and on a long term basis until the end of Academic year. The successful individual will be able to plan, prepare and deliver stimulating and challenging lessons that keep young pupils engaged in classwork and ensure that they develop in their social and academic skills. Confidence in preparing Year 2 pupils for SAT examinations is also required.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Have QTS Status – We will consider NQTs with excellent references
  • AN Enhanced ‘Child Workforce’ DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
  • Have proven experience working within a primary school, especially in Year 2
  • Demonstrate a passion for educating young children
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be committed to growing and developing as a teacher

This role is on a full time, long term basis with a daily rate ranging from GBP100 -GBP170 per day, dependant on experience.
