Welsh Medium Class Support Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Welsh Medium Class Support Assistant to join the team. We are looking for someone who:

Has a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including First Language Welsh, English Language and Mathematics.

Is fluent in Welsh and confident communicating through the medium of Welsh.

Is kind, patient and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.

Promotes inclusion and has high expectations for every child.

Supports children's wellbeing, confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

Works effectively as part of a team while using initiative when required.

Is flexible, reliable and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
-
A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent qualification.
-
Previous experience of working with primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
-
Experience of supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
-
Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.
-
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
