Full-Time Role for the academic year - Long Term Position
£92.63 - £96.18 per day depending on working hours

We’re working with a friendly and supportive Welsh-medium primary school in Swansea seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their nursery class from September 2026.

A Day in the Life… (No two days are the same!)
As a Teaching Assistant in the nursery, you’ll be at the heart of the classroom, supporting young learners as they begin their educational journey
Your day might include:
Supporting creative play, storytelling & hands-on activities
Helping children develop early language skills (through Welsh)
Working 1:1 or in small groups to support learning
Supervising outdoor play and encouraging exploration
Providing emotional support and building confidence
Assisting the class teacher with daily routines and activities
Every day brings something new – from laughter-filled playtime to those magical “lightbulb” learning moments
Who are we looking for?
You don’t need to have been a Teaching Assistant before! We’re looking for individuals with transferable skills and the right attitude
This role would suit:
Rugby or sports coaches
⚽ Youth leaders or activity coordinators
Psychology graduates
Anyone with experience supporting children
Confident Welsh speakers with a passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
