Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Swansea
Start Date: September 2026 (Full Academic Year)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm
Pay: £92.63 per day (via Teaching Personnel)

Are you a confident, energetic individual looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting?

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work full-time in a welcoming Swansea primary school, supporting a lively Year 4/5 class. This role is ideal for someone with a strong presence, resilience, and a passion for working with children—particularly those who thrive in active, fast-paced environments. ⚽

The Role:

  • Supporting a Year 4/5 class with a lively and energetic group of pupils
  • Helping manage behaviour in a positive, consistent, and engaging way
  • Building strong relationships with pupils to encourage focus and participation
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a productive classroom environment
  • Using activity-based strategies to channel energy constructively

Ideal Candidate:

We are particularly interested in candidates with a sporty or active background who can bring energy, structure, and enthusiasm to the classroom. This role would suit individuals with experience such as:

  • Sports coaches
  • PE assistants
  • Youth workers
  • Team leaders or mentors
  • Individuals with a background in team sports or fitness

  • Confident, calm, and authoritative presence
  • Ability to engage and motivate energetic pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
